The Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK recently hosted its 2026 Summer Webinar Series for British and Irish nationals considering moving to, living in, investing in or buying property in Portugal.
The Chamber organises four in-person Moving to Portugal Shows and Seminars in England, Scotland and Ireland each year, giving attendees direct access to trusted professionals who can explain the practical, financial and legal aspects of relocating to Portugal.
The webinar series complemented this established programme of live events by making clear, expert-led guidance available online to a wider audience.
Across four sessions, Chamber members and specialist companies shared guidance on relocation, residency, taxation, law, banking, investment, healthcare, education and property. Each webinar focused on one of the principal areas that individuals and families should research when considering Portugal as a place to live, invest or establish a long-term base.

Webinar 1: Living in Portugal
For many people, the decision to move to Portugal is shaped not only by visas and property considerations, but also by the realities of daily life. This session explored what it means to settle in Portugal, including healthcare, health insurance, hospitals, schools, local communities, language and the practical steps that can make relocation more straightforward.
Webinar 2: Investing in Portugal
Portugal continues to attract international interest from those seeking a European base, long-term asset diversification and structured investment opportunities. This webinar examined Portugal’s investment landscape, including banking, regulated investment options, Golden Visa-related routes to residency and wider financial considerations for international investors.

Webinar 3: Residency in Portugal
Understanding the most appropriate residency option is one of the most important stages in planning a move to Portugal. This session provided an overview of the principal visa options, including routes for those planning to become tax resident and spend more than 183 days each year in the country. It also considered the legal, tax and practical matters that should be reviewed before relocating.
