BestHealth4U nets €1 million investment

Chamber member Lince Capital, a leading independent venture capital fund, has led a seed investment round of €1 million into Portuguese start-up BestHealth4U.

BestHealth4U is focused on research and development for medical solutions and materials for medical devices which are used on the skin.

Created in 2017 by Sónia Ferreira, the start-up has a management team of highly specialised professionals and is currently focused on its ground-breaking product – an adhesive material that sticks to the skin using the skin’s own natural characteristics.

The processes and products used in the manufacture of the adhesive are sustainable, which means it can produce a product of premium quality compared to its competitors.

The investment made by Lince Capital was made through its Lince Innovation Fund and will enable further product development as well as financing its marketing and launch . The investment will also be used to hire professionals for  its new marketing and commercialisation phases.

BH4U, which has won various awards in Portugal, Europe and the US, has already received interest in its medical device products from several multinationals.

Sónia Ferreira, CEO of BestHealth4U explains: “I created BH4U because I myself know the problems that the continued  use of medical adhesives can cause. We know  our products have real potential in the market because of the great interest we have received from the large companies that are working in these areas”.
