On 14th of July 2023 the Chamber invited golf enthusiasts from various backgrounds and skill levels to showcase their prowess on the immaculate fairways and challenging greens of Boavista Golf and Spa Resort, near Lagos in the Algarve, as the Chamber’s highly anticipated 2023 Algarve Golf Day took place, the first since 2019.

This year’s event held special significance as it marked the inauguration of the Chamber’s Martin Date Memorial Cup, named after the late and much missed Martin Date.  Martin was a prominent member of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK who made significant contributions to the Portuguese and UK business communities. In tribute, theevent received special support from Gerry Fagan, a Corporate member of the Chamber and Martin Date’s former business partner.

After an exhilarating day on the course, the golfers gathered for a networking cocktail and dinner in the Boavista Club House. The event provided an excellent opportunity for professionals from various industries to connect, share insights, and foster valuable business relationships.
