Thank you to all our Chamber members and guests who attended our 2019 London Gala Dinner, held on Thursday 10th October at The Naval Club in London’s Mayfair.

Special thanks must go to our guests H.E Manuel Lobo Antunes, Ambassador of Portugal and Honorary President of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK, and also to the joint Chairmen of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Portugal, Mr Stephen Hammond MP and Mr John Grogan MP. We also welcomed the Chairman of the British Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Portugal, Mr Filipe Lowndes Marques.

Filled with fun, delicious food and generosity, the event began with a rousing Welcome from our own Chairman Mr. Jorge de Abreu, followed by a most interesting speech from our Guest of Honour and Speaker, Mr. Adrian Bridge, the Managing Director of Taylor’s Port in Portugal.

The dinner finished on a high note, with our Vice Chairman, Mr Simon Perks honouring the Chamber’s longstanding Patron Member Mr. Peter Emerson Jones OBE, from the UK-based Emerson Group. Mr Jones, and all his resort businesses in Portugal’s Algarve, have been valuable members of our Chamber for over 20 years. We are extremely grateful for his support, and that of his team in Portugal, headed by Cidalia Rosa and Phillip Pope
