His speech explained Arrow Global’s continued investment in Portugal and demonstrated the country’s growing relevance as a platform for capital, talent and long-term growth.
Arrow Global is a leading Pan-European investment manager in private credit and real estate. Its growing investment in Portugal is one of the clearest signs yet of the country’s changing position in international capital markets.
The firm is now one of the largest foreign investors in Portugal, with over 3,000 employees in the country and Euros 13bn of assets currently under management. It has also committed a further €1.6 billion for deployment in the country through to 2030.
Importantly, its presence is not confined to one business sector. Arrow’s activity in Portugal spans credit and asset management, real estate, hospitality, sports, leisure, golf and digital infrastructure.
Rather than investing through standalone transactions, Arrow has built a vertically integrated operating platform in Portugal. Combining expertise in private credit, real estate, hospitality and destination management through businesses such as Whitestar, Norfin, Details, Restart Capital and From:, the Group is able to create value across the entire investment lifecycle – from origination and asset management to development, operations and sales.
The scale of Arrow’s commitment to Portugal was the main theme in Mr Bugalho’s speech to the audience at the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK’s recent London Gala Dinner, an evening which also marked the 640th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Windsor between England and Portugal back in 1386.
